At Queen New Mexico there is a 15 foot high monument to the "flying newspaper boy" Frank MacDonald Flu newspapers to deer hunting camps and ranchers in the Guadalupe Mountains. He also delivered to national Park Rangers in Carlsbad Caverns national Park in the late 1950s and 1960s. In the early 1960s he was delivering a preacher to the Guadalupe Mountains Deerhunters on a Sunday morning when he took off after Sunday service in the mountains is playing crashed about 200 feet from his takeoff point. The monument has a brass plaque describing the event and also has the wooden propeller from his piper cub airplane
