I literally just found out yesterday from my 80 year old aunt that my great grandmother lived up there near lignite,on a mountain, and she ran a boarding house in lignite for the miners, use to fix their lunches and hang them on a tree full of nails for them to come out at lunch and eat. I have an old book written by an aunt that tells of her grandmother doing this and how the miners loved her because she would put a slice of pie in their lunch bag. its mind boggling to just think of your forefathers and how they lived and I find this out and literally today saw and article by kyle daly about lignite, the ghost town. so awesome
