U.S.G.S. helicopter ride aerial photo of Davis Creek Mine, circa July 1984. Cat D-7 pushing gold bearing gravel into twelve ton Canadian Ross Box. Helicopter was taking geologist and Greene Bros to Smalley Creek Mine to meet with Clyde Dunlop and family. Smalley Creek Has nice 1/2 oz. nuggets.

Greene Bros mining test site on upper Davis Creek, September 1983. Nine day run produced 144 Troy oz gold with three man crew working 10 to 12 hour days. Freezing temps and iced up riffles forced an early shutdown of the washplant.

Prospector and gold miner Mike Greene hydauliking overburden off the top of the gold bearing gravels. "Tomatoe Soup" red gravel washed out from under the frozen till indicating further evidence of a giant "Elephant" sized gossan, predicted by master Alaskan prospector, Paul Barelka!

Mary Greene and daughter Meagan (5 yrs) helping with clean-up on upper Davis Creek. Gold miners and top notch hunters, John Ziemba and Dave Boyce are by the Hector box to start thawing and breakdown of the nugget trays and riffle system. Thawing was accomplished by Coleman Stoves, Mary's big game pots and lots of hot water.
