Many kin lay at rest up on Peninsula Hill and my roots are deep in the surrounding hills and river valleys. My great grandfather and great grandmother Albert and Nanny Hanlin lie here as well as many of their descendants and friends. Many of my cousins, uncles, aunts and grandparents are here in peace. As a kid I felt at home in this beautiful Missouri land and now when I go back to visit I always go to Peninsula to say hello to my ancestors and to absorb the quiet eternity of that place.
