Anonymous user shared on May. 14, 2015 I have never been to Stoneco ny but my grandmother was the postmistress there in the early 1900. My mother and aunts and uncles always talked about the stone quarry. My grandmother also ran a small grocery store there. Her name was Albina Pignetti. Because she could read and write in both English and Italian she was an asset in the capacity of postmistress. I have never seen pictures of their home or store. Is there any historian who has knowledge of my grandmother? Elaine S.
