I am Elizabeth A King Jones. My mother was a patient there from about 1949 to June of 1952. For family history and Medical history I am trying to find why she was there, what treatment she was given and how long she was there. Her name was Dorothea Margaret Miley King born 9/9/1908 in Pittsburgh and her home address would have been 136 Eade Ave., Glenshaw, PA. 15116 She passed away in April of 1993. Her husbands name (my father) was Leroy L. King who was born April 27, 1884. and they had 3 Children. My sister Gertrude Rose King 10/12/1932, Brother John David King 7/10/1934 and Myself born 8/29/1945. Please help me fill this blank spot (good or bad) for our family history and medical records. Very important information. My sister passed away 6/18/ 2015 at age 82 with Dementia with Lewey Bodies. We also had an Aunt (our mothers older sister Gertrude May Miley married to William Henry Hahn. Gertrude was born 8/23/1897 in W. Sunbury, PA and died 8/1977 in Bon Aire, Butler, PA. They had one child Helen Hauhn. We know that Gertrude was committed to a mental hospital but do not know why or which one. If you have any information on her it would also be helpful to us. Thank You for you help.

I lived there with my step-father and mother. William (Mack) Paul was Police Chief and Fire & Safety Director for years. He worked there for 42 years without missing a day's pay. I have pictures in an album he made of pictures around the grounds including the Fire Station. I now live back at that property at the Villages of Neville Park for the past five years. Would like to hear from anyone re. Woodville State Hospital.

Dear Karen, I am a retired United Methodist minister and seeking information on behalf of siblings and their families regarding my mother Lucile Rogers Clarke who was a patient at Woodville State Hospital from 1944 until her death in 1955. I am interested as to what life was like for her as children we were never permitted to visit. I understand she may have played piano for chapel services and helped other patients during her better days. She underwent many shock therapy sessions according to stories and died suddenly with a mysterious diagnosis of "stomach gastritis". There are other rumors, but nothing pro

In 1960, the year I graduated from Bridgeville High School, my mother married William (Mack) Paul who was the fire marshall for 42 years at Woodville State Hospital. We moved into his home on the Woodville property to the right of the fire house. Now, 52 years later, my husband and I are living at Neville Park on the same property. Our townhouse is near to where Mack's house was located and we are trying to find the exact spot where I lived. I have a lot of stories my step-father told us along with some old pictures. I would love to talk to someone who is familiar with the area. My mother also worked at Woodville.
