Marschall creek runs thru the old Segner homestead. Lawrence Segner built a home and store on the banks of Marschall creek in Gillespie county Texas across the creek from the original family home place. The store is located in a grove of pecan trees. Which is why he named the store The Pecan Grove Store. He sold beer, BBQ, store items, made sausage and provided music for weekend dances on the outdoor dance floor. He also operated a garage that service the area for years.
